The Board Game Critic

My name is McKay Anderson and I have worked as a professional game designer and rules consultant for the past 4 years. I love Board Games for the connections they create and the leveling effect they have on all people. My favorite game mechanics are drafting, deck building, and asynchronous gameplay. I tend to shy away from these in my actual game designs because I know so many good examples of them that I feel intimidated by. On my Instagram account I create a welcoming atmosphere where people can express opinions and learn about games that might fit their interests.
